Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Soak urad dal for 4-5 hours. Drain the water and grind to a smooth batter.
  2. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the oil and fry until golden brown.
  3. Soak the fried vadas in warm water for 10-15 minutes. Squeeze out the excess water and set aside.
  4. Whisk the yogurt with salt, red chili powder, and roasted cumin powder.
  5. Arrange the vadas in a serving dish. Pour the yogurt mixture over the vadas.
  6. Drizzle green chutney and tamarind chutney on top.
  7. Serve chilled.
