Crispy Tofu with Chili Sauce
This is a delicious and spicy dish featuring crispy tofu coated in a flavorful chili sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Vegetable oil - For frying
- Cornstarch - 1/2 cup
- Extra firm tofu - 1 block
Let's Get Started
- Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut into cubes.
- Toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch until fully coated.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan and fry the tofu until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the minced garlic and red chili flakes. Cook until fragrant.
- Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar to the pan. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Return the tofu to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve the tofu topped with the chopped green onions.
