Crab and Spinach Stuffed Shells
These delicious stuffed shells are filled with a creamy mixture of crab, spinach, and cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Marinara sauce - 2 cups
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Ricotta cheese - 1 cup
- Frozen spinach - 10 ounces, thawed and drained
- Crab meat - 1 pound, cooked and shredded
- Jumbo pasta shells - 24 shells
Let's Get Started
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, spinach, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, beaten egg, garlic powder, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the crab and spinach mixture and place them in the baking dish.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
