Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, chopped shallots, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the pork mixture into small patties, about 2 inches in diameter.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the pork patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Remove the pork patties from the grill and let them cool slightly.
- Fill a large bowl with warm water. Dip one rice paper sheet into the water for a few seconds until it becomes pliable.
- Place the softened rice paper sheet on a clean surface. Add a lettuce leaf, a few mint leaves, some julienned cucumber and carrot, bean sprouts, and a grilled pork patty on top of the rice paper sheet.
- Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to form a roll.
- Repeat the process with the remaining rice paper sheets and filling ingredients.
- Serve the grilled pork patty rice paper rolls with peanut sauce for dipping.
