Let's Get Started

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and mix well to coat. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the marinated chicken thighs for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. Remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, slice it into thin strips.
  6. Warm the pita bread in a toaster or on the grill for a few seconds on each side.
  7. Spread tahini sauce on each pita bread.
  8. Top with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.
  9. Add the sliced chicken on top of the vegetables.
  10. Fold the pita bread in half and serve hot.
