Cheesy Cauliflower Gratin
This creamy, cheesy cauliflower gratin is a perfect side dish that is both delicious and easy to make.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Milk - 1 cup
- All-purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Cauliflower - 1 large head, cut into florets
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Steam the cauliflower florets until tender, about 5 minutes.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the flour until well combined. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Add the steamed cauliflower to the sauce and stir until well coated.
- Transfer the cauliflower mixture to a baking dish. Top with the breadcrumbs and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
