Charred Spanish Octopus

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Clean the octopus, removing the beak and eyes, and rinse well under cold water.
  2. Place the octopus in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about an hour, or until the octopus is tender.
  3. Remove the octopus from the pot and let it cool.
  4. Once cool, cut the octopus into large pieces.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Add the octopus pieces to the bowl and toss to coat.
  7. Heat a grill or grill pan over high heat.
  8. Place the octopus pieces on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until charred.
  9. Remove from the grill and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
