Chana Masala

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and cook until it starts to soften, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the garam masala, cumin, turmeric, and cayenne pepper. Stir well to combine.
  5. Add the canned tomatoes, including the juice, and the chickpeas. Stir well.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 20 minutes, until the flavors have melded together.
  7. Season with salt to taste.
  8. Serve the chana masala with a garnish of fresh cilantro.
