Let's Get Started

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together the masa harina and water until well combined.
  2. Add the milk, piloncillo, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla extract to the saucepan.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once the mixture is simmering, add the chocolate tablets and continue to stir until they are completely melted and the champurrado has thickened.
  5. Remove the cinnamon sticks from the champurrado.
  6. Serve hot in mugs and enjoy!
