Carne en Salsa
This is a traditional Spanish dish, featuring tender pieces of beef cooked in a rich and flavorful tomato sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parsley - A handful, chopped
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Red wine - 1/2 cup
- Tomato sauce - 2 cups
- Red bell pepper - 1, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Beef - 1 kg, cut into chunks
Let's Get Started
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, and red bell pepper. Cook until softened.
- Return the beef to the pot. Add the tomato sauce, red wine, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Cover the pot and simmer for about an hour, or until the beef is tender.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
