Carne Asada Fries
Carne Asada Fries are a delicious and indulgent Mexican-inspired dish. Crispy french fries are topped with tender marinated steak, melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salsa - 1/2 cup
- Sour cream - 1/2 cup
- Guacamole - 1/2 cup
- Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Frozen french fries - 1 bag
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Orange juice - 1/4 cup
- Lime juice - 1/4 cup
- Flank steak - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine lime juice, orange juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add the flank steak and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice it into thin strips.
- Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the frozen french fries package. Bake the fries until crispy and golden brown.
- In a large oven-safe dish, spread the cooked french fries in an even layer. Top with the sliced carne asada and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and chopped cilantro.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
