Camarones al Ajillo
Camarones al Ajillo, or Garlic Shrimp, is a popular Spanish tapas dish which is often served as an appetizer, but it is also good enough to eat as a main course. In this recipe, shrimp is cooked with lots of garlic and served with a sauce made from garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon - 1, juiced
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined
- Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic - 6 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and chili flakes to the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp is pink and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
- Serve the camarones al ajillo hot, with crusty bread to soak up the garlic sauce.
