Let's Get Started

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the sausage and vegetables. Stir to coat evenly.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
