Bunny Chow
Bunny Chow, often referred to as a Bunny, is a South African fast food dish consisting of a hollowed-out loaf of bread filled with curry.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Chicken stock - 2 cups
- Potatoes - 2, cubed
- Tomatoes - 2, chopped
- Onion - 1, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Curry powder - 2 tablespoons
- Chicken thighs - 500 grams
- Loaf of white bread - 1
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, heat some oil and add the curry powder.
- Add the chicken thighs and brown them on all sides.
- Add the garlic and onion and cook until they are soft.
- Add the tomatoes, potatoes, chicken stock, salt, and pepper.
- Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes are soft.
- Cut the loaf of bread in half and hollow out the inside.
- Pour the curry into the hollowed-out bread and serve.
