  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the shredded young coconut meat, evaporated milk, condensed milk, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks. Gradually add the cooled coconut mixture to the beaten egg yolks, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
  7. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and sugar together to make a caramel sauce.
  8. Pour the caramel sauce over the baked pie, spreading it evenly.
  9. Let the pie cool before serving. Enjoy!
