Budae Jjigae
Budae Jjigae, also known as Army Stew, is a popular Korean dish made with a variety of ingredients including spam, sausages, instant noodles, and kimchi.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Water - 4 cups
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Gochujang (korean red pepper paste) - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 4, chopped
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Tofu - 1/2 block, sliced
- Kimchi - 1 cup, chopped
- Instant ramen noodles - 2 packs
- Sausages - 4, sliced
- Spam - 1 can, sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced spam and sausages, and cook until lightly browned.
- Add the minced garlic, sliced onion, and chopped kimchi. Stir fry for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Add the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil. Mix well to coat the ingredients.
- Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
- Add the instant ramen noodles and tofu slices. Cook for a few minutes until the noodles are cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
