Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F.
  2. Season the brisket with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe pot over medium-high heat. Add the brisket and sear on all sides until browned.
  4. Pour the BBQ sauce over the brisket, cover the pot, and transfer to the oven. Cook for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is tender.
  5. Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, slice it thinly against the grain.
  6. To assemble the sandwiches, spread a generous amount of BBQ sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Top with slices of brisket and a heap of coleslaw. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  7. Serve the sandwiches warm, with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
