Beetroot Poriyal

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, add urad dal.
  2. When the dal turns golden brown, add curry leaves and green chillies. Saute for a few seconds.
  3. Add the grated beetroot and salt. Mix well, cover and cook on a low flame until the beetroot is cooked.
  4. Finally, add the grated coconut and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve the Beetroot Poriyal hot with rice or roti.
