Beetroot Dosa
A healthy and delicious South Indian breakfast dish made with beetroot and dosa batter.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Oil - As required
- Salt - To taste
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, finely chopped
- Green chillies - 2, finely chopped
- Dosa batter - 2 cups
- Beetroot - 1 large, grated
Let's Get Started
- Mix the grated beetroot, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger, and salt with the dosa batter.
- Heat a dosa pan or non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Pour a ladleful of the beetroot dosa batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin, round dosa.
- Drizzle a little oil around the edges of the dosa and cook until the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip the dosa and cook the other side until golden brown.
- Remove the dosa from the pan and keep it warm.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve the beetroot dosa hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
