Beef Steak with Herb Butter
A succulent beef steak served with a rich and flavorful herb butter.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Mixed herbs (parsley, thyme, rosemary) - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Unsalted butter - 100g
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Beef steak - 2 pieces, around 200g each
Let's Get Started
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until done to your liking.
- While the steaks are cooking, make the herb butter. In a bowl, combine the butter, minced garlic, chopped herbs, and lemon zest. Mix until well combined.
- Once the steaks are done, remove them from the pan and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the steaks with a generous dollop of the herb butter on top.
