BBQ Sambal Fish
This BBQ sambal fish recipe features grilled fish marinated in a spicy and tangy sambal sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh cilantro - For garnish
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - To taste
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Sambal sauce - 1/2 cup
- Fish fillets - 4 pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the sambal sauce, lime juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and vegetable oil. Mix well to make the marinade.
- Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the fish is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the fish from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and has grill marks.
- While grilling, brush the fish with the remaining marinade to enhance the flavor.
- Once cooked, remove the fish from the grill and garnish with fresh cilantro.
