  4. Add the cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to coat the lamb with the spices.
  5. Add the diced potatoes and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour, or until the lamb and potatoes are tender.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
