Banh Mi Dog
A fusion of Vietnamese and American cuisine, the Banh Mi Dog features a hot dog in a baguette, topped with pickled vegetables, cilantro, and spicy mayo.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sriracha - 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise - 1/2 cup
- Cilantro - 1/2 cup, chopped
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- White vinegar - 1/2 cup
- Cucumber - 1, julienned
- Carrots - 2, julienned
- Baguettes - 4, small
- Hot dogs - 4
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the carrots, cucumber, vinegar, and sugar. Let it sit for 15 minutes to pickle the vegetables.
- Grill the hot dogs until they are cooked to your liking.
- In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Sriracha to make a spicy mayo.
- Slice the baguettes lengthwise, but not all the way through.
- Spread the spicy mayo on the inside of the baguettes.
- Place a hot dog in each baguette.
- Top with the pickled vegetables and chopped cilantro.
