Banana Oat Bread
This moist and delicious banana oat bread is perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Chopped walnuts - 1/2 cup
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup
- Honey - 1/2 cup
- Eggs - 2
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 1 cup
- Rolled oats - 1 cup
- Ripe bananas - 3
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
- Add the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon to the bowl. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, honey, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
