Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add grated ginger, minced garlic, and slit green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  7. Add boiled and peeled potatoes. Mix gently to coat the potatoes with the masala.
  8. Add water, cover the pan, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the potatoes are cooked and the gravy thickens.
  9. Sprinkle garam masala and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.
  10. Serve hot with rice or roti.
