Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water and yeast. Let stand until foamy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Divide the dough into 4 pieces and roll each piece out into a thin circle.
  6. Dust the grill with cornmeal and place the dough circles on the grill. Cook until the bottoms are lightly charred, about 2 minutes.
  7. Flip the dough circles over and quickly top with the tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil.
  8. Transfer the pizzas to a preheated oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 5 minutes.
