Aiyu Jelly
Aiyu Jelly is a refreshing, sweet dessert popular in Taiwan. It's made from the seeds of a variety of fig and is often served with honey and lemon juice.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1/4 cup
- Water - 4 cups
- Aiyu seeds - 1/2 cup
Let's Get Started
- Soak the aiyu seeds in water for 2 hours.
- After soaking, rub the seeds with your hands until the water becomes gel-like.
- Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth, discarding the seeds and keeping the jelly.
- Refrigerate the jelly until it sets, about 2 hours.
- Before serving, cut the jelly into cubes and mix with honey and lemon juice.
