Yam Nua
Yam Nua is a classic Thai salad. It's a delicious combination of grilled beef, fresh herbs, and a spicy dressing.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Tomatoes - 2, quartered
- Cucumber - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1, thinly sliced
- Mint leaves - 1/2 cup
- Cilantro - 1/2 cup, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 3 tablespoons
- Beef steak - 500 grams

- Grill the beef steak to your desired level of doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly.
- In a bowl, combine the lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, chili flakes, and minced garlic. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced beef, chopped cilantro, mint leaves, sliced red onion, cucumber, and quartered tomatoes.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
- Serve the salad immediately, garnished with additional mint leaves and cilantro if desired.
