Tomato Cream Sauce
This creamy tomato sauce is made with fresh tomatoes, cream, and aromatic herbs.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Fresh oregano - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Tomatoes - 4 large, diced
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the diced tomatoes and tomato paste to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in the chopped basil and oregano. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
