Tofu Steak
A delicious and healthy alternative to traditional steak, this tofu steak is marinated in a savory sauce and then pan-fried to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Extra firm tofu - 1 block
Let's Get Started
- Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess water.
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
- Cut the tofu into steak-like pieces and marinate them in the sauce for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the tofu steaks to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the tofu steaks garnished with the chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
