  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

  3. Add the raisins, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  4. Pour in the water and honey. Add the cinnamon sticks.
  5. Cover the pot and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. In a separate pan, toast the sliced almonds until golden brown.
  7. Serve the tfaya over couscous or rice, garnished with toasted almonds and chopped cilantro.
