Let's Get Started

  1. Cut the tempeh into cubes and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and water to make the teriyaki sauce.
  3. Marinate the tempeh in the sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Add the marinated tempeh and cook until crispy and browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  6. Pour the remaining sauce over the tempeh and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
