Ingredients - Serves 2
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (for garnish)
- Green onions - 2, sliced (for garnish)
- Water - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Rice vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Salmon fillets - 2
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water to make the teriyaki glaze.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the teriyaki glaze over them. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the salmon fillets from the marinade, reserving the marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Flip the salmon fillets and brush the tops with the reserved teriyaki glaze.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the teriyaki glazed salmon with steamed rice or vegetables, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
