Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, butter, sugar, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the apple slices with the lemon juice and cinnamon.
  5. Arrange the apple slices on top of the dough in the tart pan.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden.
  7. In a small saucepan, heat the apricot jam until it is liquid, then brush it over the hot tart.
  8. Allow the tart to cool before serving.
