Tantanmen
Tantanmen is a spicy and flavorful Japanese ramen dish with a rich sesame and chili broth.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Soft-boiled eggs - 2
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Bok choy - 2 heads, chopped
- Ramen noodles - 2 servings
- Chicken broth - 4 cups
- Chili bean paste - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ground pork - 200g
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
- Add the ground pork, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the pork is browned and cooked through.
- Add the soy sauce and chili bean paste. Stir well to combine.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Add the bok choy to the broth and cook for 2-3 minutes, until wilted.
- Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls. Ladle the broth and bok choy over the noodles.
- Garnish with sliced green onions, soft-boiled eggs, and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
