Sweet Tea
A classic Southern beverage, sweet tea is perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Mint leaves - A handful (optional)
- Lemon slices - 1 lemon
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Black tea bags - 6
- Water - 8 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, bring 4 cups of the water to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until dissolved.
- Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice with lemon slices and mint leaves, if desired.
