Sharbat E Rezeneh
Sharbat-e Rezeneh is a refreshing Persian summer drink made with cumin seeds. It's known for its cooling properties and health benefits.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Mint leaves - For garnish
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 4 cups
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- In a pan, dry roast the cumin seeds until they release their aroma.
- Grind the roasted cumin seeds into a fine powder.
- In a pot, add the water and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the cumin powder to the pot and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool. Once cooled, add the lemon juice and stir well.
- Pour the mixture through a strainer to remove any cumin residue.
- Pour the sharbat into glasses, garnish with mint leaves, and serve chilled.
