Svinestek Med Surkål

- Water - 1 cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Caraway seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Sauerkraut - 500 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Pork roast - 1 kg
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Season the pork roast with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
- In a large oven-safe pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pork roast and brown on all sides.
- Remove the pork from the pot and set aside. In the same pot, add the sauerkraut, caraway seeds, and water. Stir well.
- Place the pork roast on top of the sauerkraut in the pot.
- Cover the pot and place it in the preheated oven. Cook for about 3 hours, or until the pork is tender.
- Remove the pot from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the pork roast with the sauerkraut on the side.
