Spaghetti Con Salsiccia E Pomodorini
A delicious Italian pasta dish made with sausage and cherry tomatoes.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Cherry tomatoes - 1 pint, halved
- Italian sausage - 4 links, casings removed
- Spaghetti - 12 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, until they start to soften and release their juices.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the chopped basil.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
