Sis Kebap
Sis Kebap is a traditional Turkish dish made from marinated meat skewered and grilled to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Red bell pepper - 1, finely chopped
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Onions - 2, grated
- Lamb - 1 kg, cut into cubes
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the grated onions, minced garlic, chopped bell pepper, tomato paste, olive oil, lemon juice, thyme, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat a grill or broiler. Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto skewers.
- Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Serve the Sis Kebap with rice and a side salad.
