Shrimp Scampi with Linguine
A classic Italian-American dish that combines succulent shrimp, garlic, lemon, and white wine with linguine.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - Juice of 1 lemon
- White wine - 1/2 cup
- Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Linguine - 8 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Cook the linguine according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the white wine, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and stir in the parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Serve the shrimp scampi with linguine immediately.
