Shrimp Boil
This shrimp boil is a classic seafood dish made with fresh shrimp, corn, potatoes, and flavorful spices.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon - 1, sliced
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Old bay seasoning - 2 tablespoons
- Andouille sausage - 12 ounces, sliced
- Baby potatoes - 1 pound, halved
- Corn on the cob - 6 ears, husked and halved
- Large shrimp - 2 pounds, peeled and deveined
Let's Get Started
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.
- Add the Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt to the boiling water.
- Add the potatoes and cook for 10 minutes, or until they are slightly tender.
- Add the corn and sausage to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the pot and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they are pink and cooked through.
- Remove the pot from the heat and drain the water.
- Transfer the shrimp boil to a large serving platter.
- Garnish with lemon slices and chopped fresh parsley.
