Let's Get Started

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the salt and slowly stir in the grits. Reduce the heat to low and cover, cooking for 20-25 minutes or until the grits are tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. Stir in the butter and cheese until fully melted and incorporated. Keep warm.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the shrimp and garlic, stirring frequently until the shrimp are pink, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the lemon juice, parsley, and bacon.
  5. Serve the shrimp mixture over the grits.
