Seared Tofu with Soy Sauce
This simple yet flavorful dish features pan-seared tofu with a savory soy sauce glaze.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Extra firm tofu - 1 block
Let's Get Started
- Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess water. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the tofu to the pan and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for another minute.
- Pour the soy sauce over the tofu. Stir gently to coat the tofu in the sauce.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Serve the tofu topped with the chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
