Sauteed Beef with Scallions
A quick and easy stir-fry dish that combines tender beef with the fresh, crisp taste of scallions.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Scallions - 1 bunch, cut into 2-inch pieces
- Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the beef and stir-fry until it is no longer pink, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the scallions and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes, until the scallions are tender and the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
