Sausage Rolls
Delicious and easy to make, these sausage rolls are perfect for any occasion. They are filled with a savory sausage mixture and wrapped in a flaky puff pastry.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Sausage meat - 500 grams
- Puff pastry - 1 sheet
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) mark 6.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a rectangle.
- In a bowl, mix together the sausage meat, onion, garlic, and seasoning.
- Shape the sausage mixture into a log and place it down the center of the pastry.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg, then fold the pastry over the sausage meat and press the edges together to seal.
- Cut the roll into slices, then place them on a baking tray.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with more beaten egg, then bake for 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the sausage meat is cooked through.
