Sambal Stingray
Sambal Stingray is a popular Singaporean dish made with grilled stingray fish topped with spicy sambal sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Coriander leaves - For garnish
- Red chili - 2, sliced
- Cucumber - 1, sliced
- Banana leaves - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lime - 1, juiced
- Sambal sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Stingray fish - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Clean and pat dry the stingray fish.
- In a bowl, mix the sambal sauce, lime juice, salt, and sugar.
- Place the stingray fish on the banana leaves and spread the sambal sauce mixture evenly on top.
- Grill the stingray fish for about 10 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- Remove from the grill and transfer to a serving plate.
- Garnish with sliced cucumber, red chili, and coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or as a standalone dish.
