Salt and Vinegar Popcorn
This tangy and salty popcorn is a perfect snack for movie nights or just when you're craving something different.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
- White vinegar - 1/4 cup
- Popcorn kernels - 1/2 cup
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot with a tight-fitting lid, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add 3 popcorn kernels to the pot and cover. Once the kernels pop, remove the pot from heat and remove the popped kernels.
- Add the remaining popcorn kernels to the pot and cover. Let sit off heat for 30 seconds.
- Return the pot to medium heat. Once the kernels start popping, shake the pot occasionally to ensure even popping and prevent burning.
- When the popping slows to about 2 seconds between pops, remove the pot from heat and let sit covered for 1 minute to let any final kernels pop.
- In a small saucepan, heat the vinegar over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
- Slowly drizzle the hot vinegar over the popcorn, shaking the pot to evenly distribute.
- Sprinkle the popcorn with sea salt, shaking again to distribute. Serve immediately.
