Rye Bread with Quark
This hearty rye bread is made with quark, a type of fresh cheese, for a unique and delicious flavor.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Caraway seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Active dry yeast - 1 packet
- Warm water - 1 cup
- Quark - 1 cup
- All-purpose flour - 1 cup
- Rye flour - 3 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the rye flour, all-purpose flour, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the yeast mixture and quark to the flour mixture and stir until a dough forms.
