Rondón

- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Scotch bonnet pepper - 1, seeded and chopped
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, chopped
- Cassava - 1 large, peeled and chopped
- Plantain - 2, peeled and chopped
- Yam - 1 large, peeled and chopped
- Coconut milk - 2 cans
- Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined
- Fish - 2 pounds, any firm white fish

- In a large pot, combine the fish, shrimp, coconut milk, yam, plantain, cassava, onion, garlic, Scotch bonnet pepper, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the vegetables are tender and the flavors are well combined.
- Serve the rondón hot, with additional salt and pepper to taste.
